AAMERICANS/UNITED FLAG ACROSS AMERICA RUN


"As a demonstration of American resolve and in support of the victims' families, employees of American Airlines, United Airlines, and Military Service Members, and Federal employees will carry a Untied States flag across the country...Proceeds of this event will benefit selected charities in support of the victims of the tragedy on September 11, 2001."

 

In memory of the victims of the September 11, 2001, tragedy in New York City, several runners participated in the Shreveport leg of the AAmericans/United Flag Across America run.

 

 

 

 Dr. Gehrig, representing the LSUHSC Osteoporosis Center, carries the flag near the beginning of the run.
