Mississippi Coordinator's Letter #4
Mon 10/22/2001 9:11 AM CDT

Good morning.

Sorry so long since last update. Company and 1 month old keeping me busy.

D-1. We're starting to snowball. Yesterday morning had ~60 groups/individuals to run and/or help. This morning we're almost 90. I send one e-mail and two more come back! We're not done though til the flag crosses the bridge into LA. Keep the press on for more runners and support folks. Get the word out. Call your local radio, TV and newspapers for a quick plug and let them know when we'll be thru their areas. This is going to be a great event for everyone who is a part of it.

We're doing well w/ support drivers it seems. Thank you to all who can bring a driver. It's really helping me coordinate. Be ready to help others if needed.

I've got to get offline and make some calls. I'll be posting again tonight w/ some guidance on what to expect during the run. Please try to let me know if you'll have a cell phone. We'll have one in the RV to pass position/time updates downline.

Plan to be early when possible. If we get too far ahead we'll stop for a break but be ready up to an hour early. This will allow stage runners to meet and discuss a plan before the flag gets there.

The Jackson Capitol event is moved up to 07:30. Short press/prayer stop w/ the Governor and probably some others. Bring friends and cameras. Meridian event is at 14:30 and Vicksburg at about 17:45.

Thanks to everyone for your help and patience. More later.

Mike
