Corporate Sponsors: To be associated with the event, corporate sponsors are being actively solicited to contribute their resources to make the event a success. Cruise America has already donated the use of a recreational vehicle to be used as a mobile command center for the event and to support the runners.

We Need!
We have a pressing need for the following goods/services to support this event!
  • Gas!!! for support vehicles
  • Temporary access to IEEE 802.11 Residential Gateways and accounts on the route to support mobile upload of content to web site.
  • Short-range "walkie-talkie" radios
  • Flags for secondary runners to carry
  • Towels
  • Bottled water
  • Bandaids & First Aid Kits
  • Road flares
  • Portable spotlights (cigarette lighters)
  • Aspirin

Financial assistance to help defray costs or other corporate resources to assist in the event are needed. Corporate support can be in the area of communications, web hosting, T-shirts, local transportation support to help ferry runners, or any other area.

Fund Information
100% of any money donated to the Americans United Flag Across America Fund will be redistributed, after expenses, to the following specific funds:
•   Flight 11/Flight 77 Memorial Fund
     American Airlines Pilots and Flight Attendants [APA and APFA]
•   Flight Attendant Disaster Relief Fund
     United Airlines Flight Attendants [AFA, AFL-CIO]
•   United Airlines MEC 911 Fund
     United Airlines Pilots [ALPA, AFL-CIO]
•   Tailhook Educational Foundation
     In Memory of Captain (AAL, RET) Rear Admiral (USN, RET) "Bud" Flagg
•   Twin Towers Fund
     For the families of the members of the uniformed services of the NYFD, NYPD, EMS, PANYNJ, NYSOCA, and other government offices who lost their lives or were injured at the World Trade Center.
•   911 Relief Fund
     Dedicated specifically to members of the military, civilian Pentagon employees, contractors, EMS workers, and families affected by the 9/11/2001 attack on America and her Pentagon.

Donations: A corps of volunteers to actively assist in the collections of donations that are to be received from the event. For the most part, contributions will likely stream from three sources:

1. Corporate sponsorship of the event with donations of goods/services (see link at top of page).
2. Distribution of donation envelopes along the route by local volunteers.
3. Nationally through the web site [mail, phone, internet. (see links below)].

We will be collecting the funds in a bank account and then, after the event is concluded, will distribute 100% of deposited funds, after expenses, to six funds related to airline, emergency, and government workers.
